In The Finer Moments

In the finer moments of contemplation,
I hold myself in lonely embrace.
See the death of my every aspiration.
All of my hopes and dreams laid to waste.

The light of my life and colors turn pale
For my inspiration fleeting, pleading I cry
To feel my grip losing, witness me fail.
The hurt in my heart as strings fray and untie.

In the finer moments of desperation.
To my fragmented truths, I struggle to cling.
Overwhelmed with sorrow for the separation.
For my every effort and intention to end in meaning nothing.

The light of my life dims and my every hope faded.
For my inspiration leaves from me, defeated I cry.
My love I mourn the loss of us, all we created.
The pain in my heart to see our shared ambition die...
