Double Taken Self Applied
Poster child for abortion
Distortion loves its own appearance
Perfection greets itself with contortion
A reflection twists from painted interference
What nature aims to imply
But afterbirth is more than baby's worth
Concrete from the cradle, rock-a-bye
A selfaware mirror, vainglorious curse
Asking each one itself, not assured
In the glass it asks of blemishing questions
Things inquired of a light, impure
Perils in the fear of incorrect reflections
Light shone upon an image of superficial vanity
Displayed as mutually as it's seen
To be or not, feigned grandiosity
Mirror gazing sheer Insanity, black spleen.
